IT's A BOY ...

Thanks Madelyn ! They told me over the phone he was big but I couldn't imagine Beach Barbicue throwing a much bigger colt than her Mutakddim 2008. The Mutakddim was much taller at birth but this guy has much more substance although you'll have to forgive my poor 1st. attempt with a new fangled contraption ( for me ) like a compact disc camera 'cause my photo's really don't do him justice. Legs like tree trunks ! Still waiting for Carly Pooh's Mutakddim baby ( yep ; we used him again ). And just where the heck have fillies gone anyway ... this is our 5th. consecutive colt - 6 if you count our Arabian !!! What ; me complain ???

I can only judge from my one and only experience thus far. Ask me the same question in hopefully no more than another few days and I'll have a better impression. First ; very athletic right from the beginning - and I do mean very athletic. Ours is an independent sort and extremely smart although that may have something to do with his Mom. Quite full of himself !!! Physically I couldn't have drawn up a more correct colt than Innisfree with a huge butt and nice though not bulky front end. Our other mare, Carly Pooh, tends to throw smaller, more compact babies so, again, ask me in another week or so and I can answer that more accurately for you. We've been extremely fortunate the past two years with both mares so it's all good !

I'm waiting to hear the horns and drums from Tommy, It's a Boy. The music suits a foal getting up and running for the first time. A great song/foal mix.
too weird to live...too rare to die
