Just curious: how often was the mare ultrasounded?

I don't remeber exactly but I believe it was at 2 and 4 weeks at the stud farm and then again at our farm

I am sad to report that the colt became lethargic last PM and quickly went down hill. Not quite sure what he died of, the necropsy was not conclusive. The filly appears to be doing OK.

So sorry, Rick. For all their apparent toughness, those baby horses sure are fragile in the first six weeks. I really thought the little runt filly would be the problem child. Hope she and Mom do well.
