Finally!

At 4:55PM yesterday, 3 weeks past her due date, our mare foaled a lovely grey filly (on my hubby's birthday!) Sire is Syncline.
Filly is a full sib to a yearling colt, and half to a 3yo. gelding and 2yo. filly.
Whew!

You can already tell the foal is grey?! That's mighty early for the greying genes to manifest themselves.

According to the foaling guys, she has a huge white blaze and telltale eyes and muzzle already. Mom is white, with flea bitten chestnut dots. We'll see her tomorrow.

Henthorn......I could tell my filly is a grey right off the bat as well. She already had quite a few grey hairs in her along her back and at her butt. She was born chestnut......just wonder how quickly she is going to grey out completely. Took my last filly 6 months (same sire and dam) so this should be interesting......
