Not a great year for our horses - lost a colt tonight

BT--Our sincere condolences go out to you on the loss of your foal. I know how you must be feeling. We put an awful lot of time, care and love, (not to mention the cost) into breeding, raising and training the best race prospets we possibly can and sometimes it seems as though fate and incompetence is working against us. We also have a super race prospect filly that was just handed back to us this week by our trainer. She was about a week away from her first MSW start and is now sitting in the surgical barn to undergo surgery later this week. The prognosis for returning to racing is unknown at this time. The dissapointment is overwhelming at times. The only thing that has helped improve my mental state this week is the rest of my horses, babies, yearlings and mares.
