I am very excited for everyone this year. Sadly my mare just aborted and my other mare is not in foal, so I guess I will have to buy a couple broodies!

Happy foaling everyone! :)

Mood Swings.. I can certainly help you out with that..

This year, finally it is '08, I have my fingers and toes crossed and having been holding my mouth right all year long. We have 16 in foal. The KEENOV purchase, Smoldering, is being VERY WELL CARED FOR in Indiana for her Jan 23 foaling to Ecton Park.

The earliest due on my farm are in MARCH. But I need to sell at least 7 or 8 of these since I only really have room to have 8 mares with foals. WHAT HAVE I DONE???

Last year we were 6 for 6, six due (after the Dec 31/06 abort) but had such dismal seasons the prior year I just covered every mare in sight..
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Moodswings - I am sorry to hear your mare lost her foal.

I only own one mare right now. I have to wait until late spring for her to foal. Ali is in foal to Karie's stallion Perfect Circle. Will definately share pics when the foal arrives.

Hoping for healthy foals who run fast for all in '08!

We've only got 2 to foal out this year and are not planning to breed back. We'll see what the market looks like next year before we breed back. We're expecting a Freefourinternet (Tabasco Cat) foal out of our Ide mare, Witherbee Hall - due in early February. We're also expecting a Sarava (Wild Again) foal out of our maiden mare, Not a Nice Girl. Hoping for one as nice as the colt we sold last year:

Best of luck to all!

This year, I'm expecting a Whywhywhy any day now and a Singletary in March. We're breeding back to Formal Gold and Tribal Rule.

It's hard to believe that no one on this thread has made any BABY announcements and January is almost half over. I guess the mares are waiting for bad weather!

Drat henthorn, you got my hopes up! I saw a new message on this thread and opened up to see what you had.

I know my mares are waiting for bad weather, lol. And here in Kentucky it's about to come rolling in.
