nope, no lil bundle of joy for Easter. This is why, of course, one shouldn't name a baby after waiting so long. Otherwise, it is sure to include things like Pagan, Heathen, Spawn of Satan, He Who Waited, and several others I'm fairly sure would get moderated/deleted!

grumbling and heading back to wait. Oh yeah, the former owner told me that a good indicator for Helen is her milk. Incredulous, I asked "You actually got near her udder?" and her reply was "Well, the first time I got kicked, so I cross tied her and kept rubbing her belly until she finally just gave up." Apparently after doing this for a week or so Helen begrudgingly yielded and tolerated the feeling up process.

Still, I'm happy to just peer back there and give Helen and her hooves their space.

Bay colt with a white star ('natch!) and some white socks .... still wet and not up to nurse yet. About a 4 pm baby....

WHEW, and I think this is day 360 so this may be my lil Anderson Cooper!

he's certainly the tallest foal I've ever had.... just huge that way. A big centered star and some white .... bay, of course. I'll post pics as soon as i remember how to do it on this dang system!

I know... her halter is low and might trip up the foal.... we're fixing that!

But here he is....
