I've gone nuts!!!!! Had vet came to check mare on Monday because we moved our old TB to give maidian mare privacy and hopefully not have her stress about foaling so our yearling though she had a big old play mate and ran him into a T post. Old TB is fine, has a large bruise the shape of a T post, most of the swelling is gone now :) Vet said she was ready to foal in 3 days  I checked the foaling mare's secreat code...1Total chaos, yep, crazy yearling running big old TB into frece...food??clothes??SOCIAL LIVE?? 2 babbling..called vet told him yearling had run into fence an niw sleep deprived and babbling here now...3...all wired up 4 vet check 4 days ago 5 Stress...had that for 2 weeks 6 been pushing food rubbing 7 OK, had all that done 8 yep, rain on the way, maybe thunderstorm,9 owner living in stable extra trip for feed treats 10 Haven't reach how wonderful it all is yet.

Ouch! Poor thing! Hope the t-post doesn't leave a permanent mark :)

As for #10 - all in due time - all in due time. Just remember, when you least expect it is when she foals - so go get your nails done, hair cut, watch a favorite t.v. show or plan a family dinner. She'll foal for sure then :) Keep us posted!

my hubbys car had issues and was towed yesterday evening.. Its an 06 charger so this should have never happenned and then I didn't spend the night at the farm like I should have.. and sure enough.. since I had to take him to work in the morning my mare foaled at 4:30am.. They called to tell me and I missed it by a half an hour. I got there just after 5am. Then I had to make sure she was nursing and everything passed and I was back home and taking him to work by 7:30! ughhh.. Luckily the farm manager was there. She was a maiden mare and had her out in ONE BIG push. I would hve prefered she foaled tonight.. since we have a rental now :) ha ha

(He's a gray) The old boy can still move, gave that yrealing a run for the roses  nothing like an old TB racer to give you that natural ahhh and high to see him move :D Still got it good old Nobel boy. The yeraling has some great raceing TB blood in her, too. Both mon and Dad were racers and she's a regestered TB, too :) Well, I did got out today and got a very much needed hair cut and treated myself out to lunch. So, I'll be ready tonight during the rain/thunderstorm :)

Anyway, the mare is now midnight "light trained" when ever she gets the nightly "poking" she and Noble get a carrot....so, when the lights go on for the check, she moves right up to get her carrot and of course, secret code #9 treats all around on Miss Chaffee  I can't keep my mind on reading right now, I'm going to clean this house and I rented 3 movies....so there, go ahead and foal see if I care
