New Pictures of Foals

Postby clh » Fri Mar 23, 2007 7:09 pm

The farm manager sent me some photos today of the foals - they are all starting to look alot better I think. A little exercise and some sunshine does alot for them I guess.

This is the Cuvee colt - okay so he has a little white on his legs ...

Okay guys - for the record - if you want the bling and chrome you can have mine - ALL OF THESE ARE FOR SALE   So Tammy - yes, you can actually have one of each (HA).

Glad you folks like them - and I'll be counting on your opinions as they get a little older - I'll post more "correct" pictures and you can give your opinions on their conformation but right now - it's just too much fun looking at everyone's babies. Isn't this time of year so much fun? Now we just need to get all of our mares back in foal right? Don't know how we lucked out again this year - last year's foals had alot of chrome too (except for Allou's Birdstone colt) - and he was pretty much a plain brown wrapper. I'm sure the stallions have alot to do it with?

Any thoughts on the Laird's Honor/Even The Score colt? Farm manager says liver chestnut - anybody thinking he'll turn gray?

Thanks bunches!

Sunday Rider - as for posting pictures - you need to transfer your pictures to photobucket or some other sight like that and then download them from there to here - I use photobucket which is pretty "simple" since I'm not real computer savvy. It seemed to be self explanatory. Then you hit the Img button above and copy it from that site. Sounds pretty complicated the way I explained it - but it isn't.

Wow.. gorgeous. And look at all that grass. That is what HALF my place looks like (where we fenced the horses off and frost seeded last winter). The African Skyline/Lion Heart should be called "Lion In Winter" :D

Thanks Madelyn - the grass is in KY not in OH :) You know I can't name these babies will get way too attached if I do - I do like the names that have been suggested though. I did think about the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and calling her Aweemawac (or whatever they say) - ha!

Laird's Honor's Scrimshaw colt from the January sale has officially been named by the new owner (I'll post it there as well) - they've named him "Shaw's Honor".

Thanks! Is "red bay" a color - or is it just bay? I'm asking because Millennium Farm just sent me a card and want me to state the colt's color.
