High Estate Colt

Postby Sangue Vecchio » Tue May 01, 2007 2:38 pm

Bay colt by High Estate out of Luiana Baby foaled 3/28/07 in KY. He looks a bit over at the knee, but it is just the way he is standing. He is approx. 3 weeks old in the photo. I like his double star.

That's a handsome boy, and a fantastic photograph. Congratulations!

Looks like he had some "touch and go" moments earlier, with that IV site in his neck. Glad to see he's resolved any problems.

What a nice family your mare is from! I hope the dam and second dam will add some stakes performers to bring the class a little closer in descent. I'm sure you noticed that Hard Spun also comes from this female line. Luiana is his third dam just as with your colt. :o

Yes. I have him in Texas. This is his first crop outside the UK. I am very excited, but I only had time to breed 8 mares to him when he arrived and only 6 produced foals. This year I have put 19 of my mares to him. Thanks for the nice comments about the foal. That mare is in KY and has been bred to Morluc.

What a lovely colt! He looks great and I didn't think he looked over at the knee - I thought it was how he was standing :) He's a "keeper".
