Pictures, finally...

Postby Roguelet » Wed May 23, 2007 8:42 pm

Here is the mare who waited 369 days and foaled in the middle of the worst storm ever with her colt:

And another picture of the colt:

And again:

And here is the mare who foaled at exactly one year with her colt (some of you may remember that this mare tore pretty badly with her first foal, who is now a 3YO, and it took multiple repair surgeries to finally get her "back in operation" again. Everything went perfectly this time!):

And a close-up of the little guy's face, just because it's an odd marking... almost looks like milk dripping out of his cowlick or something:

Barn name for the colt with the milk on his face - Wee Dribble.

I forget, are these Indy Mood foals?

About time  They are all lovely - mom's and babies!

I really do like the look on both the foals faces - quite intelligent looking!

Glad the mare is doing okay. Geez - she must've tore really badly :(

Yes, they are Indy Mood foals. All of our Indy Moods have been very intelligent; and I can say that is not always the case with some of the foals that we've had sired by other stallions.

Yep, that mare had a complete recto-vaginal tear that had to be repaired a little at a time. We thought we had her all repaired, but one little hole kept popping open. The surgeon finally got ridiculously aggressive with the repair of that one little spot, I think because he was tired of seeing us come through his door. Hopefully we never have to deal with that again.

Seirra Hotel!!

Great rear end on the one with the side view.. i also like the fact Indy Mood seems to be able to tone down the chrome.

How about a side veiw of the second foal.

Are my two going to look this good our do they have to stay in their moms for 12 months to come out like that..

A collective AAAAAWWWWWWW! How cute! Worth the wait, for sure.
Hey, over a year is normal for our mare. I stop worrying at day 367.

C'mon Griff... look how long it took me to get those pictures, now you want me to go get more?  Actually, that one kept turning to face me, the little bugger. The other one just stood there and turned his head to watch as I walked to the side for a picture.

Maybe there's something to "cooking" them for all that extra time, I don't know. We've got a mare in the foaling stall now who I swore would have her foal last night... no dice. But, she's only at day 347 today; maybe she's waiting to go a full year, too. She's only ever had fillies; she's 6 for 6. I hope she goes 7 for 7 in that regard.

Well a long slow bake seems better than microwaving them.

Nice looking foals Regulate.. I'll gladly take mine out to 12 months if they produce substance like this. Nice rear end on that first foal[could not see the rear end on the second foal].

Is that an Indy mood trade mark?/
