Pedigree Query

Our mare finally got around to dropping her BIG filly yesterday morning without fanfare. Both are doing well. I understand the filly has lots of chrome, but haven't seen pix yet.

The birth was on April 29th, and the only cover date was April 28th last year. This baby was definitely RIPE. I'm convinced Glory was designed to be a good broodmare, though she had no desire as a racehorse--too sociable, just enjoyed running at the rear of the pack.

This filly is by Diamond, a stakes-winning son of Mr. Prospector and sibling of Inside Information and Exclusive Risk, both millionairess racemares. Our filly is 4 x 5 Raise a Native through Mr. P and Majestic Prince, and her dam is by Southern Halo. I have high hopes for this filly, and have already arranged to sell the dam. The farm owner has several stallions to choose from for Glory's mate this year. I get the filly after she is weaned.

Congrats !!! Some fine racehorses came out of mares, like one of ours, who themselves couldn't break their way out of a paper bag.

I saw the little lady and her mama today, and they both look great. Meet the new daughter of Diamond now officially named Diamond Glory and her dam Reigning Glory by (Southern Halo).

Beautiful name for a beautiful filly!
