Others admittedly know more than I, but she looks cow hocked to me. I'm also wondering if she isn't a little too pot bellied. Do you have her on a regular worming program?

Also, and I really hesitate to bring this up, but it looks from here like you've got her in a barbed wire enclosure with no caps on the t-posts. I'd be worried about keeping any horse in there, but babies tend to be pretty accident prone at the best of times. No offense intended.

No No no offense,
Barbed wire is scary yes I know. Just to hold and tie them up and hold the filly, No biggy.
But can you define Cow hocked and which legs?

I forgot the last worming date was Sept. 25th so I am going to wait until the six weeks to give her another worming.

Cowhock refers to the hocks, and is in the hind legs. It is a conformation flaw where the hocks are not straight because the upper part of the legs angle, or turn in, under the tail. She does indeed look cowhocked.

I was told by a bloodstock agent in Paso Robles were the filly is that the trainers in Ca. are starting to favor the cowhocked horses. He said alot of the confirmationaly straight horses can't grip the Pro Ride and Poly surface. Not a defence or anything, just typing what I was told.
