I have a first time foaling mare that is at day 355. She is a large mare and is big from the foal but not huge. She hasn't bagged up although over night the utter becomes somewhat larger. Throughout the day it reduces again. There is alot of movement in the belly during the night. Sometimes enough to make her look at her side. I have had several mares over the past 15 years and everyone had bagged up by this time in the pregnancy. Should I be concerned?

No its not unusual for one to go a year. If she goes a year with no firm signs of foaling, you might think about having the vet come out and check just to be safe.

Domperidone stimulates milk production like a drive in movie. It also has a side effect of more mares foaling on time. It is available in a paste form from your vet. It is the primary treatment for mares with fescue problems that include poor or no milk production. (agalactia) It is most effective if started 10 to 30 days prior to due day.

No I wouldn't worry I have a mare that went 1yr and 15 days (380 days).

And I've got two mares that are now 2 wks over due.

One of my mares only bagged up the night she foaled. Each mare is different. But we're always ready case a mare doesn't bag up; we have mare replacement milk, that can be used if the mare doesn't produce milk. We also keep some colustrum stored from other mares, so that if the mare doesn't produce that the foal will still get all the immunity and antibodies it requires. But we've never had to use this; and touch wood none of us will have too.

Think you'll just have to be patient.

My mare was due Jan 25th and foaled Feb 28th. She was also in labor a very long time. Mares can go up to 380 days and it is not considered abnormal.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I keep telling myself just to be patient. I guess I just needed to hear it from people that know a lot more than I do. I didn’t know some pregnancies go as long as 380 days. There could be quite a few day yet.

My mare is now @ day 361 & I'm concerned. She's showing real well now in the stomach but she's not bagging up very good. I'm just wondering what was the outcome of those of you whose mares went 365 and beyond.

My outcome (I can't remember off the top of my head if it was 390 or 392 days) was fine. He might have been considered a wee bit small, but other than that: healthy, frisky, just a normal foal. Much to my relief!

My mare's foal was absolutely fine. Mares can foal from 320-385 days with no problems.
Each mare is different, 11mths is average 335 days. Just like humans, it will vary. But what usually happens is mare will often foal at the same length during each of the pregnancy, so that mares that foal at 330 days, will usually foal around that stage.
The mare I told about, regularly goes 1yr plus.
