The Alex Brown forum is looking for a place for Tendresse to go to...

Is anyone near by that can check on her, maybe pick her up before Friday when the owner is going to take her to an auction?
Thanks

offer
I made an offer on the mare a few minutes ago. I have a local contact that may be near her. If that is the case he may be able to pick her up while transport to Ky is arranged. Is there an issue with her papers? I think I read that on another board. The lady that I am speaking with seemed to really care about the mare. I missed the part about going to auction on Fri...yikes not good. She said she is in good health and weight but who knows. Fingers crossed that this mare ends up in a safe place. I have every confidence that she will be ok.
mare
I saw a pic of this gorgeous mare and she looks so much like her daddy. She didnt want to deal on price so probably knocks me out of helping her unless something changes. She said a lady in Fl was really interested.

It looks like this place it going to take her http://eaglesnestdraftrehab.googlepages.com/ and they're raising the cost of fuel to transport her. So it seems that she's safe.
I was notified via email about this fine ole' gal. Just sent a little towards this effort. They're chipping away raising the funds to get her to the rescue.

My friend and I had a verbal contract to buy this mare when she was "rescued". We were only waiting for where to send the money to. Apparently though she was telling everybody the same thing and whoever got there first with the green would get her. I had hoped the rescue would do the right thing and not take her and use that money for a horse that was truly in danger.

mare
I had been talking with the owner via email. One of my contacts local to the mare tried to call the owner but her number was disconnected. We were trying to get her purchased and safe yesterday. Had no luck getting through to owner other than email. I did receive a nice email from her today stating that she thought she was going to AR. We were just trying to step up to the plate and give her a secure future. I guess a rescue group is the one that is picking her up. Sounds like many people are trying to see that she is safe...that is nice to see.

I did email them and asked them to back out. Once they have her she will be too far north for me to transport (either cost wise or possibly health wise). The owner was the problem. She was telling several people she was available AFTER she told us she was ours. Her number is disconnected and we played phone tag with her husband's cell phone but I emailed her and asked her WHERE to send the money then she sells her to someone else. I'm not sure what she was thinking. If there were other people interested all she had to do was say so and we'd have wired her the money. It's very frustrating.

Tendresse is safe! She arrived at her new digs Saturday evening. Here are some pics of her:
