Could you look again at Proud Seniorita's name on her papers? Maybe her sire, dam and/or year of birth?

I tried to look her up with the Jockey Club & they say she doesn't exist. It's probably just a different spelling of her name, or something.

Any chance you could look her up?

There is a 1998 mare named PROUD SENEORITA by Mexicali, maybe that is the mare.

I am the new owner of Cute Show. I live in Arizona and Stephanie will be boarding her until I move to my retirement home in Kentucky by the end of this year. She will be a yard ornament and retire in Kentucky. She has an interesting background, and really was never a success. The quirks in her background for me is that she was in California for alot of years and was on a farm that is only a few miles from a friend of mine that lost her Arabian horses in the fires of this summer. She also had a son with a race record that is a book - going from the large California tracks to the pits - the fairgrounds circuit here in Arizona - then at the age of ten - he disappears - probably to slaughter. I found one of her daughters, and she will be living in Maryland. This was a "Bucket List" thing for me - I have always loved Big Red and have wanted to provide a retirement for one of his offspring. So "Cutie" is a dream come true for me! I will try to post photos and start a blog on my website - www.achinacres.com. Leslie

I actually got to meet my horse on Monday! Cutie is a typical, 22 year old, and she does things at her pace, not yours! She is being well cared for at Stephanie's farm, and it was exciting to touch, feel, and see her finally! My plans are to get to my new Kentucky home by Christmas, and hopefully Cutie can join me there early in the new year. She is going to be a much loved "yard ornament" for the rest of her days! If anyone has access to her tattoo - I read - " 097321" - and she is a 1986 model. I know that she had 2 starts for $0. Thanks all - and I can proudly say that I own a Triple Crown winner's daughter - and there are not many out there any more!

Cute Show

Postby Mikki79 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 8:43 am

Glad to hear that everything worked out for Cute Show. Great job taking her in Leslie. It is a shame what happens to these beautiful horses once they are done with the track and breeding. I have a Stallion that has Secretariat Bloodlines and he's been babied since the day his hooves hit the ground and he's not an OWN son!!! I commend you for taking her in!!

I hope that the other horses fair as well as she did! I wish I had more room but i'm maxed out with my pending take-ins!

Congratulations Achin -

I remember your mare's full brother. I was working at FT Saratoga when he sold as a yearling back in the mid seventies. He was a grand looking horse, gray though, and he sold for quite a bit if I remember well. I think he was from Secretariat's first crop. Hope you have a lot of good times with your new addition.

Fullspeed - The permanent move will be around Christmas. I am hoping to get Cutie there around the first of the year. Also will have to get a kennel built for all my little white dogs! Cutie and I will be the retirees of the neighborhood.

No thanks needed! She needed and deserves a retirement in a safe place. I think all the retired racehorses and broodmares need safety, but in the real world they are few and far between. If anyone else knows of any Secretariat offspring that need help - please keep me in mind! I am not made of money, but can give love, peace, and feed.
