I got an email from this kid this morning, containing the following 5 photographs. They each have dates on them which, if they are correct, at least show that she has fed this mare, as the later ones show a fat horse, and the earlier ones a severely undernourished one. Still, if I were trying to sell a horse, I would not send out 2-3 year old photos depicting her in such bad condition, at least not with out SAYING something like "this is how we got her, this is how she is now" or something. That said, I really like the looks of her in that 4th photo. That is a handsome mare.
Her email also said they do NOT have the JC papers and continues to ask $2500 for her. However, she raced, so she has a tattoo.....couldn't a duplicate set be obtained from the JC?

You may be able to get duplicate papers - check to see her registration status on the JC in case they have her listed as dead (which was the case with one that we just got for my neighbor for free - a rescue).
She is terribly thin in those first pictures but looks quite nice in the last. Maybe ask the child if you can talk to the mother? She may think $2500 is okay because of the responses she's gottne from this site lol....
