KY's new law that basically gives ownership of any horse to the boarding or care facility 45 days after the board bill was unpaid has put an END to the years of non-paying horses at farms in KY.. So the horses were moved along to make room for horses with owners who actually PAY.
It is unfortunate for RHF that they were the recipient of the deadbeat's herd.
Thank God a law was passed somewhere. This is what has happened. And "nice" me, trying to help out a fellow TB owner, took a call one day, I told them "no we don't board outside horses or do lay-overs" but they said it would be for a weekend, then they would be shipped out..........so I helped. Long story short, the 4 unregistered youngsters are heading out tomorrow they have started paying me and have 28 days and counting to pay the rest of thier board or I own the registered brood mares.
