Runners, breeding stock, etc. for sale --

Postby HiddenEchoFarm » Thu Aug 03, 2006 8:13 pm

I'm posting this for someone else, whose husband was a trainer before he passed away several months ago. She would like to get out of the racing biz & has horses for sale. Some are still racing, others are breeding prospects & still others, pleasure horses. The horses include:

Blue Cypress, 2002 mare, by Chief Seattle, out of Just Plain Jane [mare family 12-b]. Retiring from racing with a sore ankle.

Lady Larrupin, 2001 mare, by Larrupin [Mr Prospector son] out of Buckaroo Baby. Owner says she's still doing well at the track.

Kim is asking around $3,000 OBO for each mare.

She also has 2 stallions who could be gelded. Both are listed on the CANTER PA site:
http://www.canterusa.org/pennsylvania/horses/index.htm

Both retired from the track & are being trail ridden. Wild Valley's pedigree is: http://www.pedigreequery.com/wild+valley
I haven't found a pedigree for Welcome Mat, but you can see his picture at:

Kim tells me that one of John's owners has 2 stallions -- Thisfleetisdue and Copewiththegeneral -- also for sale. The owner is asking about 10K.

I don't actually know Kim, who is selling these horses, except that I called about buying a mare she had listed. She called back, asked if I was looking for a broodmare & told me why I should NOT consider that mare for what I wanted. And she was absolutely right. [The mare I called about isn't one of the ones listed here -- I think she might be sold.]

In other words -- I believe what she tells me about these horses. And she says they are class acts because that is what her husband claimed. So I believe her [and wish I had an open stall or two.]

IF you are interested in these horses, you can get more information by contacting Kim at [email protected] Or go look for other information on the CANTER PA site.

By the way -- any mistakes in these descriptions are most likely mine & I apologize in advance, if my information doesn't match Kim's.

Thanks.

If I forgot to say, the horses are located in south-central PA.

I wouldn't know what the actual, correct spelling would be for "Welcome Mat" or "Welcome Matt" but I believe that this is the entry for him:

Per the APR, Matt-with-two-t's is the correct spelling. :)
