“Albert” is an opportunity of a lifetime for a rider looking to go to the very top of their sport. He has the class, presence, form and elegance to be a world-class 3’6/4’ hunter, the power and scope to excel in the jumper ring, and the adjustability and athleticism to become a top-notch equitation mount.

Not your typical tall, lanky TB, “Bert” is of a very substantial build, and everyone guesses he’s of full warmblood breeding (Dutch or Oldenburg). With such tremendous body type and fantastic conformation, this handsome gent draws compliments and attention wherever he goes. He exudes terrific presence, and has a very kind eye that depicts his kind, loveable nature. He is, in fact, quite nicely hunter and sport horse bred – his sire Iskandar Elakbar has indeed produced full TB hunters that have excelled in the “A” hunter ring. His dam, Ganaraska, has also produced several foals that have gone on to be successful in the ring. Other notable names of influence in the hunter world that appear in Bert’s pedigree include Fappiano, Mr. Prospector, Bold Ruler, Nasrullah, Nearco and Raise A Native.

Albert is well-started w/t/c, and ready to begin working on changes and over fences work. While this sensational fellow of huge potential is still quite green, he is mentally in a fabulous headspace to get down to serious work, and his eager to please, affable nature makes him quite hungry for the opportunity to do so. His temperament also makes him an excellent opportunity for a younger or amateur rider to bring along a young horse with their coach as a future star in the highest levels of the hunter ring. As Bert has had quite a few seasons of inconsistent work due to his owner starting a family, he is currently priced at $20,000 CDN to a show home only. This summer Bert will be placed with a professional to get back into a serious work programme, at which point his price will increase substantially. Eligible green everything, a perfect choice for the highly competitive green divisions next year. Trailers, clips, baths, extremely polite – a perfect gentleman to pull out of the field mid-day and work with while his buddies are all still outside. Bert is, of course, up to date on all vaccines, worming, natural trims, etc.

This gorgeous mare has been the complete hunter package – not only does she display impeccable, classic Thoroughbred conformation, but it’s accompanied by unbelievable form over fences – huge bascule, and knees snapped right up to her nose! She just flows over the course with traditional flat-kneed Thoroughbred movement. Sired by Irish Heart, Chrissie’s pedigree contains such notable hunter and sport horse names as Turn-To, Abernant, Somethingroyal, Royal Charger, Princequillo, Bull Dog, Hyperion, Mumtaz Mahal, and Nearco. Incidentally, Chrissie’s relatives have achieved huge acclaim in Great Britain as racehorses and steeplechasers.

While Chrissie has had to retire from the show ring due to arthritis, she would certainly benefit from and be thrilled to be ridden regularly. A home or placement where she can do ring work, go for hacks, pop over the occasional fence would be perfect. Not for a beginner rider - she requires a soft hand, and consistent, soft seat. This spirited, older girl is a phenomenal amount of fun for an experienced rider, and loves to show her stuff. She would probably quite enjoy the Hunt field as well. She is sincerely affectionate, and enjoys having a special bond with her rider. This special girl is the real deal, a sensational thrill to ride.

We would consider a breeding lease or sale to an experienced home - she is a top quality mare, and in extremely good health & condition, but is an aged maiden.
