OK let me refine my search

I am not looking for myself, this is for a client looking for what will become future green working hunters and childrens hunters.
We are looking for green horses NOT MADE HORSES! Made horses are not in their budget...$3500.00 and LESS MUICH less if possible. hence the reason they are looking for OTT geldings. Mares might work bout would have to be the deal of a lifetime.

Those who do ahve MADE horses or horses with trainign and are priced abover $3500 I can list them on my web site as I have a lot of traffic and a personal relationship with my buyers...if I can help you, WONDERFUL!

So in review...retiring racehorses or those whom are unraced are fine as long as they are SOUND with no major issues or visual boo boos. These horses will need to pass a Vet exam in the future. NO CRIBBERS FOR ANY REASON.

I know its a tall order to fill...however I know the horses are out there and with winter here, hay prics going through the roof and feed getting more pricey I know there are some nice OTT horses out there at a reasonable price. My days of going to the track and combing the back side are OVER (no time with breeding season soon upon us). Besides its very cold here. (Im a fair weather shopper)

Im not looking to pay killer prices here and I know the tracks dont ahve people beating on their doors to buy horses for much above $800 sooooo My offer looks pretty nice! I'll pay a good price for a nice green, sound sane horse who will be getting months of training for a new career.

Thanks to everyone who has sent me horses to consider.

OH YAH Im in Ohio so shipping to Ohio or even KY would be easy for me...shipping from California is not going to work...may go as far as Fla for the right horse. Pa, Ny, Ind, Ky, Oh Mi are all within our shipping area at a reasonable fee.

I am in NE Ohio and have a guy that might work for you....2003 bay gelding, no markings, true 17h. He is sound and SLOW as can be. His last start he stumbled out of the gate, dumped the rider and cantered merrily around the track far behind the field! He is very sound and his trainer labled him as too "meek". Above average mover but he lacks conditioning right now....his hind end could use some work. Huge shoulder, short back, big warmblood feet, great mind. Let me know if you are interested....his name is Father Nature, breeding isn't worth talking about!

HA!!! He did belong to Bruce, and then Bob Guicardo (the trainer) bought him from Bruce. Bob had him sold at the end of Thistledown's meet to a jumper trainer, and then Bob got greedy and decided to run him one more time and make some extra cash. Karma reared it's head and Father Nature has decided that he doesn't know why all those horses run so fast....there's nothing at the finish line. He doesn't like dirt in his face either....so he stays WAY back!

Bob just decided to sell so I will get some pics to you probably tomorrow.

The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation of South Carolina operates "Seabiscuit Stables" at the Wateree State Correctional Institute in South Carolina where inmates rehab and retrain retired Thoroughbred's and they have some nice horses avalable and they're not looking to make a profit but are just looking too find a good new home for these Thoroughbred's who are ready for a new vocation.

The OP is looking for horses for resale projects therefore TRF horses do not meet her needs. TRF retains ownership for life and the horses can not be resold. CANTER would be a better option.

That may be the case with some TRF programs but this one which is I guess really "supported" by the TRF of SC and not "operated" by it does have horses available to be transferred to new owners. It is really "operated" by the prison I guess and they will give you "ownership" of a horse from their program I'm pretty sure. South Carolina is probably too far away for this person but I still wanted to mention it. If they want to find out for sure what the deal is if they had any interest they can contact the program.
