2007 Buckskin Sabino Appendix Filly - West Central Florida

Postby Bondama » Thu Jan 10, 2008 3:22 pm

Name: Mercy and Light (barn name "April")
DOB: 3-30-2007
Sex: Filly
Color: Buckskin (has dun too!)
Location: Odessa, Florida

April is a sweet filly out of my big bay TB mare, by our perlino dun AQHA stallion, and is she ever a looker. Pretty smutty buckskin right now, although that may change when she sheds out again! She's almost grulla looking. April has 2 rear high white stockings, and 1 front white sock, a big blaze and snip. Tons of chrome if you like it! She also has mane and tail guard hairs and a dorsal stripe. Built like a brick house, and bred for versatility, April can go in just about any direction. She can be registered I.B.H.A. and with the half-quarter horse registry. Asking $1200. Photos below as a newborn (with her dam), as a 5-month old, and as an 8-month old (with her half brother, the palomino). You can see how she's differently colored in each photo! Changes colors with the seasons, but beautiful all the same. And look at that hip. PM me with any inquiries or offers. She's up to date on everything and her coggins is dated 10/07.

She is a nice looking filly!!! I'm a sucker for those kind of colors, especially since she's an appendix,(barrels!!) Alas I have too many as it is and I"m sure shipping would be horrendous  . Just wanted to tell you good job on the breeding, looks like she turned out beautiful! :D
I will not change my horse with any that treads on four pasterns. he bounds from the earth, as if his entrails were hairs..When I bestride him, I soar, he trots the air; the earth sings when he touches it; Williams Shakespeare, "Henry V"

Thanks for the kind words, Robbins. Starting this program was a big gamble for me, but I am finding my niche so to speak. I have a nice stallion and have hand picked nice mares and the combinations are working. Thus far, my foals have all been exceptional and it's a real blessing.
