Tea Cup Poodle Puppies!!!!

Postby secretlink » Mon Feb 11, 2008 2:47 pm

I did not see if posting about a dog was not allowed... so...
Raised around children, super cute. As of 2/8/08 Red girl is 24 oz Apricot boy is 28 oz. Both were under 4 oz at birth. The girl should be 3 1/2 lbs and the boy should be 3 3/4 lbs. They are paper trained and could easily be converted to litter. We have their parents go outside. The boy is $1,950 and the girl is $2,550. Shipping can be arranged. Both of the parents are under 4lbs. They also are great Hose Show dogs, and even better purse dogs. Both the parents regularly accompany us into the barn.

Sorry... I have noticed a lot of horses other than TB's on this board. I thought it might be ok to post this... If it is not I am sure a moderator will take it down. I maybe should have read through the rules better...

I see nothing wrong with ads for puppies! They are adorable :-) We have German Shepherd puppies and I have thought about advertising them here too

Trailers are horse related.
As for other than TB horses posted here, I would bet most of us that have posted "others" here also have TB's.
Lets keep it on track please.

REALLY CUTE puppies, though!

If someone has $2K to $3K to put into something, they should put it into a racehorse that might give them some sort of return, not some little yapping dog that will just shake and piss on everything.

I wouldn't give three cents for one, let alone $3K. Actually, though, if they wanted to PAY me $3K for one I might let it live under the tack room... Much rather have a good broodmare.

No need to get nasty... everyone is entitled to their opinion. Horses are great, I have 10. They cost a bunch more to feed than these little guys :)

I'm not trying to be snotty here or anything but can I ask why they are so expensive? Are the parents accomplished show dogs or something? Have the parents had all the appropriate health testing? As a life long dog owner of very well bred purebreds (and rarer breeds than that) I can't imagine why they would cost so much?

Honestly, I'm not trying to cause a problem here and you are welcome to ignore me or pm me instead of responding here but I couldn't help but ask.

Hi Panda,
Breeding t-cups incurs some extra risk, and the parents weren't cheap either :) I dont know if you are inclined to do so, but if you google you will find I am selling mine for less than many out there. I have a friend that just purchased a Doberman for $2,500. Some dogs are more than others.

I really tried to stay out of this...I really did...but--speaking as a former Poodle breeder, exhibitor, judge, and someone who's written several books about Poodles--the phrase "tea cup" Poodle is a marketing gimmick that has no real value or application in the world of purebred Poodles. Not only that but in this case it's being used incorrectly.

Judging by the pictures posted, the sire of the puppies appears to be an oversized Toy. The dam is probably a smallish Mini. The puppies being held in the picture wouldn't fit into a tea cup now, much less at their estimated adult weight of 4 pounds. Anyone seeking a Poodle puppy should check out their local humane society first. Small Poodle puppies of indeterminant lineage are usually available there for free.
