Free Stallion (Sold)

Postby Lisa » Thu Jul 31, 2008 5:53 am

Aylward is a 13 year old, 16 hand, bay TB stallion. I bred him to my mares the first time this year and they all took. As far as I know he does not have any other foals on the ground. He is very easy to work around and has a great disposition . I am located in SW MO

Are you advertising this stallion as free to breed to or free to a good home? Posting a photo would help people evaluate this stallion in either situation.

He has an interesting pedigree........for the breed to race/sporthorse breeder, particularly one with a clientele for good jumpers/steeplechasers, etc.

He's a son of NORTHERN BABY, a source of stamina, who figures prominently in the pedigrees of long distance runners, many of whom preferred the grass. NORTHERN BABY offspring were well thought of for riding disciplines over jumps. His tail female side features the Reines mare Cequillo as 3rd dam and a fair number of racey mares who were SW/SP in regional handicap level racing, making >$100k over their careers and producing similar types.

do a google search with "aylward" and "northern baby" and you get some more info on this horse.

I loved Northern Baby and if i were breeding steeplechase horses I would be interested.

Of note, his dam and full sister are being bred to quarter horses now.
