Looking for track pony

Postby amanda1 » Wed Jan 07, 2009 3:27 pm

I am looking to buy a trained, experienced track pony for this spring at Thistledown. Can haul easily from Beulah, Mountaineer, Presque Isle, Turfway areas, but would haul from other areas for the right pony. Prefer TB's or QH's, at least 15.2h, no mares obviously! Must have been used as a pony for at least one season. Would like it to be attractive, and of course very sound! Thanks for any leads!

Have you looked on CANTER sites?

I've no experience buying this type of horse, but see them posted fairly frequently.

Pretty sure mine are too far away but I have two very good pony horses in Idaho that I could possibly sell. Both have over five years experience. PM if you want pics or more information.

Mighty,
Thanks for the link, I did find a pony at Beulah that I am going down to look at this week.

Ageecee,
Beulah is a nightmare this winter, claiming prices were lowered and this is the bottom of the barrel. A lot of these horses went down from TDN when it closed and just can't compete anywhere else. It's sad......
