Looking for a stallion

Postby Fireslam » Mon Oct 19, 2009 12:41 pm

Looking for a stallion for a small personal farm. Will not be used as a commercial stallion. Older horse is fine, as long as he has some sort of good race and produce record. Good disposition is vital. PM me if you know of anything like this in need of a great home.

Hope I'm wrong but this sounds like they want everything-for nothing.

In this market I don't think they will have a hard time finding a stallion. I don't think the request is too demanding.
Personally I like this guy: http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-141944

One Tough Dude! Made some money betting that horse on the NYRA circuit. Glad to see his owners are working hard to find him a good home!

The advertised horse is a gelding? Or at least that is what the header reads - then in the specifics they list him as a stallion?

Mayber they are offering to make him a gelding at their expense for the proper home? Maybe they have discovered a surgical technique that could give Mine That Bird residual value???
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.

Frisky Spider is definately a stud :) I like him a lot but do not have room for another one myself.

A horse named Double Action ran today at Golden Gate Fields for $4000. He's a three time stakes winner with over $240,000 in earnings. He's a sprinter. Jerry Hollendorfer trains.

He's inbred to Mr. Prospector and features three crosses to Gold Digger through Mr. P and his full brother, Search For Gold a good regional sire in California years ago.

Give him a call. He ran 5th today. Perhaps he will sell.

Double Action is interesting from another, 'historical' pedigree viewpoint - he traces tail female through successive US born/registered dams to a US foaled mare born 1766, the so called: "Jack of Diamonds" mare.

They are still looking. They have one stallion that could work for them that they are interested in, but are still looking. Appreciate all the ideas being thrown around.

This is the dude you need to get. He has an owner that is not standing him. I talked to the previous owner and they sold him for like $2,500. For little production he has one very nice daughter. He is by Forty Niner o/o full sister to Carleon. You have to use the link below as he is not presently listed on starquine

Thanks,
Chris

I know
When he is ships out from here Friday and is delivered safely. I am sure they will post it. I am so happy for them and the horse. He is a really classy guy and deserves a good home. :D
