Looking for broodmare (in KY or CA)

I'm looking for a broodmare (in foal) to purchase privately, as I have been unsuccessful at the public sales this year. Some key criteria: located in KY or CA, young mare (not older than 8-10 years old), preferred winner, some black type in the 1st dam, and covering stallion with some commercial appeal. Price range up to approx. $7,500. Please send me a PM if anyone has any mares available or other suggestions.

You might try calling some of the breeding farms in CA. Some of them are quite desperate to sell some of their mares that didn't go through the sales for a number of reasons. That would seem to me to be your best shot.

almost every commercial farm in Ky will have something that should fit your parameters.
If you dont wish to contact them try few of the Bloodstock agents.
there are mares for sale everywhere at good prices.
