Forty Niner broodmare

Postby Altanbarr » Thu May 27, 2010 12:02 pm

I am interested in acquiring a reasonably priced broodmare with a Forty Niner mare somewhere along the X trail. Mare would go to PA for breeding so she should be located somewhere on the East Coast. Of course, a mare by Forty Niner would be just fine.

Most of the Ecton Park mares, when they go through the sales, are inexpensive. Roar's are probably more in demand.

Further down this thread is the Ecton Park mare we got from Martha Green. I have no clue what traits she got from him versus her BM sire, Air Forbes Won but she's 16.2 and all leg.

Gold Fever is also by Forty Niner - however the OP is looking for a mare whose DAMSIRE is Forty Niner, or has Forty Niner directly on the tail female, not the sireline. Which is why it states "of course, a mare by Forty Niner would be just fine"...

Thank you for taking time out of your way to make sure you explained what the OP meant. Clearly my mensa like intelligence fails me at times, most likely because my husband and my mother in law died this month.

With Zinn . . . my condolences. I was going to dive in & defend Madelyn, who I thought was only explaining.

But I honestly don't now how I'd handle what has been laid on your plate.

Again - my condolences.
