X Steeple chaser needs special home

Postby brooke » Tue Jul 06, 2010 10:51 am

Berani- http://www.pedigreequery.com/berani

2000 solid bay gelding by Grand Slam- 16.1 hands-

X Steeple chaser I purchased to put back into some local races, but instead I decided to start him over show jumps. I have since had a bad accident which will prevent me from riding for some time. I am a rider/trainer.

Berani needs a special home. he is a mild cribber and a little harder to keep weight on because of this when he is kept in a stall. however if pastured he is just fine. Needs a more experienced rider due to him not being completely cross trained yet. however, in between his outs on the steeple chase track he was used as a whip horse for the hillsboro hounds in TN. Could be a very nice show jumper with the right rider. has not been handled much in a month due to my injury needs to get back to work... currently being a baby sitter for weanlings- does very well with young horses in the pasture could also make great companion - Sales with JC papers. Asking $ 500
There will be discouraging times. But a life without horses;
Now that's discouraging.

Best of luck selling him as he sounds interesting. If you have not posted on the Chronicle of the Horse forum, you may wish to do so. Having the foxhunting experience he may be of interest to riders on there...and some would be within driving distance of you (Missouri for instance).

Hope your recovery is a successful one...AK

I think Brooke will get in trouble, posting a horse she has for sale at the COTH.

BUT since I don't have him for sale, I won't . . . probably.

So I cross-posted, referencing this thread.

Good luck finding this guy a home!
