Horses that only share the same sire are not considered half siblings. Half siblings are those that share the same dam.

I am from Maine but grew up in Charles Town and I have two Thoroughbred mares and a Thoroughbred filly born this year by Tri Line. On the New York Breds website Tri Line is for sale for $10,000 or best offer and he is a stakes winner by Crafty Prospector.

Dropping the price

Postby John.Tobin@rjbstables » Wed May 04, 2005 7:21 am

REDUCING COST TO $1,500 OBO SEE NOTES BELOW

Tanya needs at least 3-4 months away from the track here are comment from my trainer...

She is beautiful black mare with one bad knee.
If we continue with her she will end up getting a slab fracture in that knee and that will not be good at all.

She has to rest for at least three-four months. She will never be 100% but the knee has NOT reached the point of no return. She has been running well and hurting which is an indication of her big heart. I think with time off she can come back and knock off some good races.

This is part of this business. Happens to the best of the best. These horses are not machines.
With her heart I really do think it would be worth while to rest her and bring her back. She could get real good for a while.

Dropping the price

The first post had me laughing. Not at the fact of a horse being injured and in need of a good home. The fact that the owner of this horse calls Tanya, a half sister to a breeders cup winner.

Hope you find a good home for Tanya. I race at Ctown also and I almost lost my shirt one year claiming horses out of Charles Town. I ended up giving them away to good homes.

Most horses are lame at Ctown and the only thing you can do is patch them up to race a couple more times. Sad to see Tanya not make it past one race for you but its a part of the claiming game.

Was this your first claim at Ctown? You have to have a sharp trainer to play the claiming game at Ctown. I did not have a sharp trainer at Ctown which is why I almost lost my shirt.....

My Mistake

Postby John.Tobin@rjbstables » Thu May 05, 2005 2:18 pm

About her being Half Sister to Singletary... Fact of the matter is , they do have the same sire.. i didn't know that wasn't considered half- sibling.. sorry for the mistake..
