VERY NICE 2001 mare, no Raise a Native or Northern Dancer

Postby Waquoit » Tue May 24, 2005 7:06 am

BROWN BEAUTY (2001 bay filly, 16 hands) is a lovely and very sweet-natured girl who needs to sell quickly. Currently at Suffolk Downs in MA. She has a very interesting pedigree - absolutely no Northern Dancer or Raise a Native blood, but has Buckpasser, Damascus, Foolish Pleasure:

Brown Beauty's dam, Kind of Beauty, is a half-sister to hard-knocking millionaire racemare Real Connection and multiple graded stakes winner Right Con. Her sire, Cobra King, is a stakes winner of $156K.

Brown Beauty is a KY-bred, showed flashes of talent but injured her ankle early on and has only run a handful of times as a result (did not break her maiden). She will most likely be sound for pleasure riding and flatwork with some time off, if you wanted to ride her as well as breed her, but jumping probably not advised.

Owner asking $2000, would definitely negotiate for quick sale. Call Nick at 781-589-0333.

Look at the ad a few lines down "Broodmare Wanted". THis one sounds like what they're looking for.

Good Luck.

LOL- Not tall enough? Well considering she is 2001 I am sure she'll grow some more as well!
I think Staging Post feels the strain here though he is 15.3h (but should have flashing lights saying 'WIDE LOAD' ala all US horses) when he is next to our horses who somehow the Britons measure up a lot shorter than him he is tiny! Looks like a pony- one of our mares comes in at around 16.3h but next to him looks like the Troy horse!!!

Please note corrected phone # in listing - many apologies if anyone has tried to contact the owner! Saw the mare today and she is looking great; has gained about 75 lbs. Owner very willing to negotiate. 781-589-0333.

A new photo of this lovely mare is up on the CANTER web site. She has also been sticked at 16 hands - not 15.3. She looks great, wonderful attitude and is jogging out sound. Nice, nice broodmare prospect. Owner is negotiable on price, will take reasonable offers. 781-589-0333.
