A lot of people are down on Midnight Lute, but his works say he is ready to fire his best and if he is clear down the lane he looks hard to go past. I think Cost Of Fredom is the horse to beat but, as always, there is a ton of speed in this and it will set up well for the defending Champ.

i'm going to take a shot here

i'm a huge lute fan but he has one race this year, he came in last, he has a big ass and can't fit in the gate, and he doesn't prefer synethics.

I like cost of freedom as far as the CA contigent are concerened.

but i'm going to take a strong flyer on fatel bullet. he has won two graded stakes in a row, over synethics, and his last race was the most impressive prep of all the sprinters. he's getting really good and the only knock on him is that the race was at turfway and not keeneland.

this race is so deep I won't bother playing exotics. you can make a case for most for 2nd, so there is no point.

Flip a coin, I'm still at 5 for the tri.
First Defence can win if he puts in an effort even with his career best, so can Fabulous Strike or In Summation.
Street Boss? Can't ignore his closing capabilities..
And of course Lute.
Fabulous Strike in the Vosburgh, that was off a layoff and in the slop. Looked at this race about 50 times by now and keep coming back to him on top, he can weather very fast initial pace and hang tough.
Question is, how will the heat affect him? I believe he got mild heat stroke in 07 while down in FL, then he got a lung infection pre-BC. If healthy I give him a 75% chance to take this thing.
Think this will be the most competitive race of the day.
