East coast runner Mucho Macho Man ships in from Saratoga to meet up with West coast runner Paynter (wonder what Baffert is thinkin' here). East coaster has run here before in the BC Classic, one of his best speed figures (Bris), likes the surface; five sharp works, blistering 59.1 over this track; gets Hall of Fame Stevens; negative post. Paynter demonstrated his class and ability in the Belmont and Haskell, came up just short in the SanDiego; third off a layoff with three sharp works over the surface. Take Control . . . ambitious; impressive works;
Should be a good race.
