Pedigree Query

Here's a look at some probable and possible Preakness starter's. We should have a few new faces who were shut out of the Derby. Most noteworthy being Social Inclusion, Pablo Del Monte and Ring Weekend, Social Inclusion was scratched out of his Preakness prep yesterday at GP, when he came up with a bruised right hoof. They say he will be ready for the Preakness...but that remains to be seen? Will update (edit) as we get closer to the big day. TJ

California Chrome...(scheduled to fly to Pimlico Mon. 5/12)
Social Inclusion...(will ship from GP Thurs. and will work at Pimlico Mon. 5/12)
Ride On Curlin...(definite starter, rider switch to Joel Rosario for the Preakness)
General A Rod...(just threw his hat into the ring 5/9, Castellano will ride)
Pablo Del Monte
Ring Weekend...(worked good this AM (Saturday, 5/10) at Fair Hill and is a confirmed starter for the Preakness)
Ria Antonia
Kid Cruz
Dynamic Impact
Bayern ...(worked huge this AM (Monday 5/5) at CD with Rosie N in the boot...5/8ths in 58.20)

Current Possibles:
Danza...doubtful
Friendswith K Mill...doubtful
Twenty Percent...doubtful
Commanding Curve....(will not run in Preakness, will point to the Belmont Stakes)
Strong Mandate...(will not run in the Preakness, will await Saratoga)
Our Caravan...(will not run in Preakness, Goes in the Peter Pan this weekend (5/10) at Belmont Park)

Ria Antonia has just been added to the list of Preakness probables. This after the owner took Ria Antonia away from Baffert and transferred her to Tom Amoss. In her short career this makes the 4th trainer she has been switched over to. TJ

What makes them think Ria Antonia is competitive in the Preakness. If she'd given Untapable more of a run for her money I might understand it, but I'm mystified.

This is the same owner that announced she would run in the Kentucky Derby right after she was DQ'd into the BC Juvy win. This filly is working with her 4th trainer....though Amoss' says if she runs in the Preakness, they will have both agreed to do so? She is a very nice filly for sure and he makes a point when he says he'd rather try a run against the boys then meet Untapable again...but he thinks they're cars, not flesh and blood. Why do you think Asmussen isn't running Untapable against the boys in the Preakness, the way he did with Rachel Alexandra? If anything happened to Untapable running against the boys in the Preakness, it would be a PETA field day. TJ

General A Rod has been confirmed, by trainer Mike Maker, as Preakness starter. TJ

Ring Weekend is a confirmed Preakness starter, after working at Fair Hill this morning to the satisfaction of trainer, Graham Motion. Ring Weekend worked 3/4's in company in 1:13.20, Motion caught him galloping out a mile in 1:41. TJ

Looks like the list of 10 probables have all entered into the Preakness. Waiting for the post position draw. TJ
