Hard to look past Firing Line, but I guess this would be a chance for Lord Nelson to win a route race. I still like Firing Line, he has eyeballed one of the best horses in the crop twice and lost by a head twice, that's nothing to turn your nose up at!

Firing Line
Where's the Moon
Lord Nelson

Hi George,
He will go to NY, but seems he will drop back in distance and run in the 7F Bayshore even though the Wood Memorial is on the same day April 4th at Aqueduct? Guess Baffert is happy with Dortmund and American Pharoah for the Derby:>) Then again who can blame him:>) TJ

Emphatic win by Firing Line. Not the finest of fields, but he made it count. Where's the Moon was best of the rest.

Stevens is getting better with age just like a fine wine.

what a performance and ntr.

The storm cat male line is a wory for the derby but the bottom line is giving a bit of hope.

Looking at stats for storm cat in pedigrees of derby winners is like looking for big foot.

Starting to worry slightly about American Pharaohs bottom line.

Interesting race, though it could be deceiving? This is a racetrack that normally carries speed and when quality horses come to run, they usually run very fast as we saw. This bodes well for Dortmund's quality, but it also brings up the question of pace in this season's Derby with three of the top names, American Pharoah, Dortmund and Firing Line all looking to be on or near the pace. Also of note is the Rasmussen Factor (5x5x5) to Gold Digger, which Firing Line carries through 1/2 sibling's Lillian Russel and Mr. Prospector (x's 2). Firing Line received a 97 beyer for his effort, 5 points higher then the synthetic performance by Dubai Sky on Saturday.
One thing is for sure, Derby fever is heating up...just 5 days away from this Saturday's Florida, Louisiana and UAE Derbies, all 3 worth 100-40-20-10 derby points across the board. Watch the replay below. TJ
