Just bought a lovely new mare ...

http://www.pedigreequery.com/dream+society

She is downright stunning to look at, a beautiful mover and VERY flashy with her big blaze, lower white lip and 3 high stockings

No pictures yet (sorry!) but I'll see if I can get one in her stall when I head back down to the barn in a minute

Bless her smart little heart ... even though her full sister won $267,000 she was a smart girl and ran VERY VERY slowly and got to retire early completely sound ... :)

I LOVE her pedigree. I dont think I have ever seen 3 crosses to Northern Dancer and I love the Graustark connection with her as well

Vet is coming tomorrow to check one of my other mares. I am going to get her checked as well and see if there is any chance of getting her bred in the next couple of days otherwise she'll sit tight til spring and get bred then ...

Stay tuned for pictures! :)

And here are the pictures of her in the stall this evening, which dont really do her justice at all. I'll get some decent ones, once she is outside tomorrow ...

She's a large framed, solid 16hh now as a 3 year old, is quite bum high, so she should finish in the 16.1-16.2hh range

She and the Nightlight filly are best buddies already through the bars, so once her shoes come off tomorrow, the pair of them can be turnout buddies as well! :)

The trainer that had her is a total sweetheart and wont run them until they have nothing left anymore - if he sees they are simply not cut out to be race horses, he finds a new career / new home for them while they still have 4 sound legs underneath them so someone is getting a sane and sound animal to move forward with

I think she will be an amazing cross with Guaranteed Gold!!! :)

And Nerd - there was just so much to like when I looked up her name and saw her bloodlines. She is a very very classy mare ... :)

We have 8 stalls which never seems to be enough to be honest ... but in fact its probably a GOOD thing as I would just keep getting more and more horses ...

Here are some pictures I took of her this morning. She was SO good outside and I'm sure its been forever since she was last turned out. Just basically walked and trotted around, gave a few bucks here and there, but was just happy to be outside until the big green bugs started landing on her and then she wasnt so happy anymore and came back inside ...

Thanks John. I knew about the Rahy and Saint Ballado connection but missed the Soaring Softly one. Thanks so much for pointing that out to me! :)

I am in LOVE! She's stunning! Greatness is one of my favorite sires for conformation too, he's a hunk and a half!
