Not even close Jorge ... ... but it was nice of you to try~!!!

And from the new pictures I just got of him and his offspring, I am really trying to figure out if he is sunbleached black, brown or bay .... From the offspring pictures and the pictures of their dams, you can see SO many of them are light from the sun and I wonder if its the same with him as well ...

I think before I jump in headfirst, I will have him yank hair and send it in to make 100% sure what he is

What about Bold Phantom Go? I know he's been talked about on the site before. He's in Missouri. He does not have a racing pedigree but he is lovely.

http://www.pedigreequery.com/bold+phantom+go

and here's the page on the owner's site of (some of?) his foals

http://whispervalley.homestead.com/Bold ... Foals.html

If these foals are any indication, he does not carry the chestnut gene

bonham - there are many of us that LOVED Bold Phantom Go (and yes - I am using the PAST tense ...)

He died last fall of an apparent heart attack. I was SO upset - I had found the perfect mare for him in TX and was going to buy her and ship her up to him to be bred when his owner phoned and told me the news. Darla (Headless Horseman) was going to send one of her mares to him as well

Its such a shame. He doesnt jhave even one TB foal to carry on for him into the next generation ... :(

True Colors,
Thanks so much. I had no idea. I emailed the owner when I purchased my black mare, but she never replied. I'm so sorry to hear that.
I'm in Kansas and it's hard (if not impossible) to find a black stallion near here. Turkancer is the only other one I know of (if anyone knows of any near Kansas, please let me know).
What a loss. Another lovely (but no white) stallion (Barthelemy) died in 2009 as well.
