Rutland Road dam of Art In Motion struck by lightning today

Postby reedhill » Wed May 27, 2009 1:27 pm

RHF lost a very important mare today, RUTLAND ROAD, from
one of the worst thunder/lightning storms we've ever had today.

http://www.pedigreequery.com/rutland+road

KEESEP 1999 $65,000 ylg. OBSMAR 2000 $43,000 2yo. Had great promise OTT, but slightly fractured front ankle. Has had at least 2 TB foals and 2 Hanoverian foals who excelled in the jumper ring, and a stunning loud sabino white and bay TB colt by Allamystique in 2008 ART IN MOTION. Rutland was carrying a full sibling to Art In Motion, and was due 7-10-09.

Rutland was a mare you never had to worry about foaling or taking care of her baby. She had a free jump worthy of a true jumper. She would do anything for a pepermint.

Rutland we will never forget you, Love The Reed's.

Farm autopsy before burial showed Rutland had a sabino filly for us just like Art In Motion. Rest with your momma little girl.

Oh nooo. What happened to your mare? I am also sorry for your loss.

I couldn't cry right away, tried to stay tough and strong, it's not the first time lightning took mine, it took 3 of mine when I lived in FL, but it hit me later that she was missing. They really grab at your heart, they are family. Thanks for all the support it's nice to get it from horse people because you all know to well how empty it makes you feel.
