The Classic Horse dispersal?

Postby springboro » Mon Aug 03, 2009 6:23 am

I see a lot of colorful horses going for fire sale prices from The Classic Horse in California. I also recognize some very influential names in the pedigrees. In particular, the mare Apachina and the stallion Bexx Bad Boyy are gorgeous, from the pictures I can see.

Why are they going so inexpensively?

I was just told that there was a death in the family. They look like a bunch of nice horses. I'm sure they will sell quickly.

the odd thing is Tahitian Moon is in this bunch, and I could have sworn that TM was part of the sales from Stoneybrook in Kentucky.

They bought horses from Norsire, Stoneybrooke, Red Fox Farm and Jan Robbins in CA, Shadow Mountain Stables, now they are all for sale as far as I understood.

the prices are simply unbelievable! I'm really partial to the Apachina mare, and her dam is 17 hands! None of this little bitty stuff!

The one filly the buckskin, was foaled in 2005. She is 4, not registered.. and they are asking $3,500 plus you pay for registering..
so another $2,000... and a headache when she could have been registered for $200 at one time.

I don't understand why people put it off.. if you cant afford to pay $200 to register them.. how the heck can you afford $2,000!
