Here's a picture I found at this link of a foal of the White fox - son of Patchen Beauty, he's a cutie!

Nice mover, too, when you see him in person.

Foals by The White Fox!

Postby Tap The Mint » Sun Aug 09, 2009 11:22 am

Oh Wow! He is gorgeous. We have a Sabino marked Thoroughbred mare, Double Mint Dawn, diagnosed pregnant to The White Fox for May 2010! We are really looking forward to it. He is a beautiful stallion with a wonderful personality. I 'met' him two years ago and was very impressed with him.

Nice boy! Even in a 2-D photo, he seems to be nicely balanced.

Tap the Mint,

Do you know how many mares were covered by The White Fox in 2009 who will be foaling in 2010?

He is balanced - he's the kind of colt you would notice in a field of colts, even if he came in a plain brown wrapper.

Jorge - while I don't think his dam went back to The White Fox, I believe his owner sent a different mare to The White Fox this year.

Just adding newer pictures of the white colt - at the MD State Fair.

(I especially like the yawning woman in the background of the 2nd picture.)

Wow! Thanks for posting the photos of the colt by The White Fox! He's gorgeous. Can't wait till Spring to see our baby by him. In answer to your question Jorge, I don't know how many mares he bred this year? I don't think very many but the reports aren't posted yet at the Jockey Club so I don't have a number.

Sure, white at the moment the picture was snapped - but I'd bet his owner would accept any tips anyone would like to offer on KEEPING him white -- how do you folks with white horses do it?

He won his class & went reserve to CitiGold in the colt championship.

Kid is great (thanks for asking!) but wondering why the heck we put the just-weaned babies across from him. He likes looking at them, but listening to them? Not nearly as much fun!

My only advice, for the moment, is to acknowledge that one cannot assume that loosening a white foal with his mom among normal mares with foals is a normal thing to do. Some mares get spooked when they see a white foal and some may act with life-threathening aggresive kicks. It happened before with terrible consequences, so please be very careful.

EZ All, got tar and dirt and sweat and pine and grass and black fence paint and mud on top of it all washed away plus put that gold glitter sheen on a client's paint stallion I took to Ocala. He didn't need a bath the rest of the time we were there, nice curry and brisk brush and we were good to go.

Photo from our time in Ocala. The day we left and day #2 without bath.

But dang that TWF colt is a smart looker! Last time I saw a white showing on the line he was horribly over at the knee! Nice to see this one's correct and the judges thought so too!
