I was at Suffolk Downs a couple weeks ago, and saw this purty gal:

Her name's Anotha Toughcookie. They had her up on Canter for a grand last time I looked....that may be lower now that Suffolk's closed.

She looked like a nice-bodied mare, from what I could see. Pretty solid. Not particularly fast. ;)

I'm not an expert on sporthorse breeding, but I know a lot of Mass. TB breeders plan their matings with an alternate career in mind. The racing biz up here is pretty iffy, sad to say, but the local 'horsey set' will still pay for a good sport prospect.

She certainly has the splashy white - but she looks kind of small for a sporthorse broodie. You know how tiny jockeys are and in proportion to the rider and the walker she might barely scrape 15h.....

Wait - sport PONY broodie!!

Canter lists her at 15.3, and I've no reason to doubt it; that groom was pretty tall.

She was one of the larger horses in that race (which wasn't saying much ).
