Black Mare

For all you color experts, is this mare black by your definition?

Her name is Julissa (Matty G x Flight Ninety). She stands about 16.3 1/2.
She is registered as a dark brown or bay but there is not a white hair on her. The picture was taken is August in Texas.

Well she looks very black to me, but the photo is so small I can hardly tell anything.

AUGUST in TEXAS????....MINE are ORANGE by then!!!!!
