NEWCASTLE'S newest glamour filly, The Opera House, could make her much-anticipated debut at her home track on Boxing Day.
The pure-white filly, which has created nationwide interest because of her rare colouring, trials at Gosford this morning.
If she comes through that test well, trainer Kris Lees said he would consider a 1400-metre maiden at Broadmeadow's biggest meeting of the year as her first race assignment.
"The filly is going very well. Her trial at Wyong was just what we hoped for and I am hoping for a bigger improvement at Gosford tomorrow," Lees said yesterday.
"Nothing has been set in cement for her debut, but the Newcastle race does look appealing."
