how does it work in the US and Canada as I have a mare who is related to the above girl she is her aunty. and we will be racing her son so I could do with knowing thanks
I have been searching the net only to find that we call our races group and you guys call them grade what I need to know is what is the Canadian Woodbine Oaks race.

The Woodbine Oaks is a restricted (to Canadian-Breds) and is ungraded. The group/graded stakes races are equivalent ie. a Group 1 is comparable to a Grade 1 race.

Canada does have Graded races, but our Oaks (and the Queen's Plate for that matter) are not one of them, as they are both restricted.

Neither of those races are group races.
