its a filly by The Alchemist out of Golden Desire so a 100% TB. A huge and long legged Palomino filly. She was 18 days late....

Names have to start with G according to the German TB name rules (first letter of dam's name), so have your G names come along please.

A big congratulations Gwen!!!

How is your jaw? (Poor Gwen had wisdom tooth surgery done and was in SO much pain she was praying no one would foal until her mouth was better and the antibiotics and pain killers werent needed any longer ...)

What about:

Gift Wrapped
Going Places
Guest Star

Thats great news - one down -how many more to go???

Post pictures when you can ... :)

Not better it seems to get worse, hope I get over this weekend without needing emergency care. The jaw bone and the lower jaw nerve are highly inflamated and in my left head is a pain tornado.

Seneta who was due 16 days ago does not want to eat and her udder is gone soft, so I hope that foal is not dead. Vet is coming the afternoon to check. I wish I would sit on a sunny island, no tooth pain, no horses, no heart ache and sorrows, just a Mai Tai to nip at and nothing more......

Update: vet has been here, foal is alive but mare has colic, got treated and lets hope it goes all well.

Let me know what island you are going to be going to. I'd be happy to join you there!

Thats not TOO bad Gwen. As you know, a lot of mares as they progress can exhibit colic like symptoms with the pressure the baby is putting on them. Hopefully she goes soon, so that you have one more foaling behind you ... and thats great news the baby is still alive and well!

Beautiful filly!!! :D

Seneta had a colt last night by The Alchemist and its another cremello colt. He has 7/8 TB bloodlines. Soon I am the Queen of Cremellos instead of Palominos and I wanted cremello fillies but always get Cremello colts :?

Congratulations on a healthy filly! I wonder if it is going to be a weird year. My mare was a month over due and finally foaled last night. I was starting to think the mare was playing a joke on me!

Here's my "G" naming suggestion:

Golden Alchemy - IMHO it's a perfect fit because a) she is golden, b) her sire was The Alchemist and c) alchemy was all about 'creating' gold from natural substances!
