miss panoramic goes to germany

Postby heradine » Thu Apr 08, 2010 12:06 pm

hi, my name is carolin and i come from germany. my friend rolf and i are breeding trakehners. we love especially colored horses.

please excuse my awful english.

on our farm we have a pinto trakehner stallion and three pinto trakehner mares. also a bay roan trakehner mare and a bay roan arabian mare.

when i look in equine now, i saw my dream-horse: a thoroughbred filly in a special color. miss panoramic from panoramic out of painted miss riva.

i love this filly from the first moment. it was a dream for me.

I would not have thought in the dream of it to import a horse from the USA to Germany. But we would like to widen our colored horse-breeding and there is not such a thoroughbred-filly here in Germany.

After much thinking, my friend Rolf has also agreed to that I buy the filly. The problem here in Germany is same that the horse-market has collapsed completely because of the crisis and we really has effort to find buyers for the horses.

But we would like to invest also into the future and furthermore I had fallen in love on the position with Missy.... Typically woman even.

And from the purchase of Miss Panoramic, also a friendship originated with Dalene Knight, her breeder.

Yes and now Missy stands in Houston in the quarantine. 30 long days, she must remain there. I already wipe off every day of the calendar and can take tense and impatient on the day at it I can take her at the airport in reception.

Here is Missys Pedigree incidentally:

I am very tense, here, to read in the forum over colored thoroughbreds more. Thoroughbreds at all is a fascinating horse-race. We have also a thoroughbred-mare, who has brought us a very good filly with a Trakehner stallion.

Missy should be with us also as broodmare. We won't leave her however cover this year. She should settle in first mark. She would only already be here however!!!!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new purchase

Your english is better than my German so no need to apologise at all! :)

Do you know Gwen Gregorio in Germany at Gestuet Falkenhorst? She has 2 white TB mares already in Germany for many years - Shew and Padrama, from the Puchilingui lines, so while they are both not from the Airdrie Apache lines, they look very similar to your new mare. And she has also produced several all white TB foals - both colts and fillies - in her breeding program as well. So maybe once your new filly arrives you can contact Gwen about breeding to one of her coloured TB stallions as well!

I know that Gwen has been having great success with producing foals that are being purchased from all over the world. I dont know how many she is selling in Germany, but I do know that many of hers go to other countries like Australia and New Zealand and Canada and the USA and in the Far East as well (and I think maybe the Middle East and Africa as well???) But I guess in her case she has been doing this for so long and she has such an excellent reputation, she is the first one people go to when they are looking for coloured WB's and WB/TB crosses and now coloured TB's as well

Gwen also bought my foal from my Pearlescent mare (perlino TB) by my cremello TB stallion - Guaranteed Gold, and he will travel to Germany in the fall. He is either a perlino or a smoky cream (if he is, he will be the first smoky cream TB in the world!) so he might be a nice stallion to breed your new mare to in the future as well

All the best with your new breeding venture and hopefully your mare travels safe and well to you

miss panoramic has arrived a week ago with us in Germany. she had a very exhausting travel behind herself.

we are happy that everything has been well.

here, the first photos of missy are on her grazes.

Due to the excitement she had been greatly reduced. But her tastes the green grass very good and now she takes too slow again.

Glad she made it safe and sound!! Yeah the picts are rather large, you can always go back and edit the post and resize them.

What are your plans for her?

thank you very much!

missy is already a baby. if she ist settled, we want to take her on the summer-pasture. and we take sometimes a saddle and a bridle on her. in winter a rider. but the speed determines missy.

next year we want to breed her to our trakehner stallion aristo.

we have a lot of time.
