Fantastic news and I KNEW it!!
He can sire palomino and smokey blacks on his own. If the mare contributes agouti he can sire buckskins.

Congrats on a healthy colt!
I know blacks are rare, as well as the smokey creams of course:) But how come we don't see a lot of these non dilute stallions throwing blacks? When GG has produced a smokey black and cream already. Does that make sense?

Thanks Katie!
I know what you are trying to say. If GG wasnt dilute, but with his original chestnut base coat colour and Pearl wasnt dilute but was her original bay base coat, would crossing them together result in a black foal? And the same with the GG/Puchi Trap combination - would they produce black foals together if GG was a chestnut instead?
Jorge - thanks so much for the suggestion but I do know his owner is thinking very hard on what to name him right now!

Because "A" and "At" (and probably A+ as well) are VERY VERY common in TBs. Many/most TBS are AA of some type, and most of the rest are Aa. Its very uncommon to get a black because of this, and that is why most don't produce black. GG happens to be at least Aa if not aa.
