Sabino Clydesdale

Postby Derby Lyn » Wed May 05, 2010 8:19 pm

A friend of mine has a really neat 2 year old clydesdale colt. He is a big, gentle giant. He is the typical bay, but he is total sabino (think tobiano type pattern). She sent me pics on my phone but I can't seem to get them on the computer yet.

I got on him yesterday and walked him around just to see how he would be, and he was an angel. Good thing is that the breeders didn't like his coloring, so they never docked his tail. He has the most gorgeous 300lb tail!

Is there any market for the sporthorse breeders for a colt like this? I'm not sure if anyone is still into the draft crosses. I think he will be a really nice cross on some tb mares. I will post pics as soon as I can.

There is a breeder up here who produces a lot of Draft crosses for the hunt / large gentleman / pleasure market

She might be interested

Email me pictures and info when you get it and I'll send it on to her

You never know ... :)

Here is his ad with a pic http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-284934

He is a very neat horse. His owner has no use for a stallion. She said his price is negotiable. She priced him higher b/c she didn't want to deal with a lot of tire kickers.

I see the similarity. The funky tobiano pattern is what I call it:)
