Smoked Gold x Lil' Twister

Postby Joie » Mon May 17, 2010 6:30 am

Lil' Twister foaled a lovely palomino filly by Smoked Gold yesterday AM at Evenheaven's. Poor Evenheaven is exhauseted from showing all weekend, and foaling out my mare at 3:36 AM! I can't believe she stayed awake long enough last night to e-mail me pictures.

I need to think of something good for a registered name...was thinking something starting with "Lil'" and using parts of the sire and dams registered names. Barn name is "Lilly". Suggestions are welcome!

Thanks, everyone.

Unfortunately, she crashed yesterday and despite being at WI Equine and getting plasma, antibiotics, glucose, etc. she didn't make it....she passed overnight.

I am totally heartsick.

Oh my I was going to say congrats but now I am soooo sorry for your loss.

The pictures that you posted were they taken just after birth? The cute filly's back right leg looks very swollen.

RIP little filly and (((hugs))) to all who knew her.
