Beyond Thrilled with this purchase...

Postby Pennylane » Mon May 24, 2010 12:07 pm

I am thrilled to let the world know that we (Pennylane Farms) have outright purchased from Flying Colours Farms, Black Oaks Paris (known as "Bling"), her filly at her side known as "Ellie" at the moment and hopefully the foal we hope she may be carrying for 2011!

Image

This filly was going to be advertised for sale but she is such an outstanding baby I could not let her go!

We have bred Bling back to Mirabeau for hopefully yet another stellar baby.

Here is a picture of her 2008 colt who was sold to Arizona at 1 wk old!

This is one match that I don't want to mess with as they produce wonderful foals!

Nope!

Flying Colours is a partnership between myself and another partner, so I have just bought my share out on this mare and her foal.

Now she is solely owned by Pennylane which is myself personally.

I understood from other posts that the sire is a warmblood stallion, not the one Jorge has posted. I'm wrong, most likely.

Thank you very much Georgerz for bringing this point.

That's the reason why I regularly post the pedigree of the case we are discussing... because sometimes we are mentioning equines we are not absolutely clear whether its a Thoroughbred or a WarmBlood. At least I prefer to eliminate every ounce of confusion. :D

So I would like to suggest to all of you to try more to post pedigree references from this database.

The correct name of the sire is Mirabeau GF as all horses bred by us have the GF at the end of their names.

Can I please have that baby? And, since it's rude to wean so early, just send her dam along, too. You know I'm a big fan!

Congratulations!

Hi Sue, sorry, I was thinking you were one family. My fault. That foal is super nice, but I would really appreciate if Mirabeau would be marketed with his GF initials at the end as that shows that WE have bred him and all of our offspring carry this GF at the end of the name to show it.
