We discussed this guy once before I know, but I can't find the old thread. Anyway, this is a NEW photo of him and now I find him even MORE interesting!! I didn't really believe it before (IIRC), but there is NO WAY I believe he's chestnut now.

Makes me remember a thread about whether a subject equine was bay or chestnut along with additional rabicano considerations. Yikes, the photo identifies him as a "gelding_stallion". :| :|

Yeah I caught that too Jorge and chuckled a bit. the ad says gelding (I think he was gelded int he other thread too).

This horse would be classed as wild bay.

That would be my thought, too. It looks like whatever gene/modifier that's suppressing most of the black on his legs is also lightening the black in his mane and tail.

Wild bay tends to that, especially coupled with some leftover baby flaxen and maybe gulastra plume.

She is probably bleached out, but sure could be mistaken for a buckskin TB I think. What do you think?

The one that looks buckskin... ummmm. I would actually be surprised if she WASN'T buckskin. That doesn't look like fading to me. I'd love to have some of her hair!

I love the one with the light tail. I can't figure her out.

Her pedigree: http://www.pedigreequery.com/turko+bella
Interestingly, her two foals are also for sale: Paytheturk, who seems to be a garden-variety bay; and full sister Zoomzoom Bell, who is dilute-looking like her dam.

What a shame they never registered the Lily filly, so add on another $2000 to her purchase price ... :(

She looks SO much like the bay Arabians at a place I used to board at. Snow white tails just like this until they hit 2-3 years of age and then over the next year they'd turn black

I bet this is exactly what is going to happen here as well

How very, VERY interesting. The filly definitely does NOT look run of the mill bay. Something is going on here me thinks.

Not if it's done by the end of this year. It will be $525. Not exactly the $200 if it were done when she was a foal, but not $2000 either.

That bay filly has to have a silver dilution gene, to have that tail?
I thought that "bay" that looks to have all the shadowing even dappeling
of a buckskin was worth showing. :)

I'll chime in that Turkobelle definitely looks buckskin. I bet she was just registered incorrectly.
